Langkawi trip, short, rushing, tiring BUT full of fun!!

Last week, as few of you know... well, the ones who did come to check on this page from time to time.. ehem..ehem... (i'm being sacarstic ni...hehe), few of us went to Langkawi for a short trip...just one night stay... Anyway, who's in the trip... hm.. that would be ME, Ah Goh, Leng Boi, Su En and Hu Nee... we took a lot of pics, gonna share that with you all after i have successfully get all the pics from everyone's cam..imagine... 5 camera...just only 1 night stay trip...can imagine longer trip... i think i might new another new HDD. or maybe, haha... get a storage or server instead... muahaha... anyways, just to share a lil bit on the trip.... we missed out a lot of place though... didn't go to any of the historical place... cos masa kecik time oredi go.. haha... maybe other time when we have more time...

29th October 2005 (SATURDAY)
The journey starts from SP. who's the driver, me la.. haha... i woke up 5:15 am sharp, dragging my big fat ass to the toilet.... i slept at 1 am, so u can imagine how sleepy i was, but haha.. with the thought of i'm finally going to a trip with my frens, semangat ni, bathe, wash my hair n give everyone a wake up call! so, left my little kancil at home, drove my mom's iswara instead... for better comfort... reach goh's place at 6 sharp.. no kidding.. can believe i'm so menepati masa... go work oso always late few minutes.. haha.. better hope my boss don read this! maybe because too excited.... then fetched En, then Hu Nee and lastly Leng Boi. the streets were pretty empty, still early and it's Saturday, everyone is still in slumberland and the malays had just finished their sahur... puasa mah... by the time i fetch everyone, it was only 6:28 am.. where my target time to leave SP is 6:30 am. drove straight to the toll and guess what, it's 6:30 am. haha... just in time! on the journey, what else, u can hear a lot of ppl talking at once... but from time to time, there would be dead silence... haha.. out of idea of what to talk about i guess... but u know, girls... when u gather few girls around, you know what they do best!!... gossip gossip gossip! catch up with latest gossip/share latest gossip they know! hahaha... drove down boring highway to Kuala Kedah.. as you all know, the whole journey on the highway, you can only see, trees trees, trees and sawah padi... Ah May would know better... haha...

reached kuala kedah pretty early, it was only few minutes past 7am. parked the car, some went to answer nature's call, some went to get tickets, 8am ticket if i'm not mistaken... and we gathered for a light breakfast, then journey begins... off to Langkawi in this ferry which is not as big as i expected.. haha.. anyway, the whole way, some had some sleep, but i can't sleep cos too excited... they showed King Arthur, din really watch cos it's on this i think 21" tv which is small, and it's not clear.. but don really care, cos have already watch it in the cinema some time ago. so, what else, gossip n tok again ler..

reached Langkawi at 9 something, went to rent a car, we rented a wira, a dark blue wira, the number plate is KV 714 B, haha....got it for RM50 perday, extra charge of RM 30 cos we rented for extra few hours...who drove? haha.. me again la.. punya lah semangat ni... and one thing also it's because it's a manual car... drove from jetty, Kuah, stopped by petrol station to pump petrol.. and drove all the way to Pantai Cenang, first stop, Langkawi Underwater World. armed with our camera, we dashed in, bought the tickets (RM28 each) and start snapping photos like we never did or as if like we are actually meeting this great superstar/alien..muahahaha.. but haha.. in this case, the superstar/alien would be ourselves, and also the sea creatures themselves.... will share the photos with u all okie..

was there for like 2 to 3 hours, a lot of animals around... anaconda, sharks, penguins, seals, the cousins of the piranhas (forgot the name!), very cutesie mandarin ducks... but the stupidest thing is the 3D show... which is so disappointing and boring, if the show was longer, i think i might have just fell asleep there n then!

Then, everyone is complianing that they are hungry, we head to one of the restaurant by the roadside for lunch.... was pretty expensive though... 5 plates of fried rice, a plate of sambal kangkung, and a plate of gung po chicken cost us RM48.

checked in hotel at around 1 somehting, rest until 2 and we continue our journey, was supposingly stop by at the summer palace... one of the place where Anna and the King scene took place, but too bad, we missed it cos didn't notice it when we passed the Petronas quay and the pertronas gas station. was hidden somewhere... haha.. so we just head straight to oriental village, where the cable car station was situated. and guess what, it started to have strong winds and then it started to drizzle a bit, then continue by rain!! argh... they stopped the cable car operation due to safety purposes... we got pretty upset but decided to wait for another 30 minutes, and if the rain won't stop, we'll leave.. stubborn eh.. haha.. thank god, the rain did stop and we rushed to get our tickets, and like small kids, run excitedly to the entrance and hopped into the cable car... the cable car can accomodate 6 ppl.the ride was okay... Leng Boi's face was pale at first.. haha... cos it's very very high, and we are heading 700m above sea level, the view was breathtaking, nice and beautiful... reached the top station and went to this designated area (710m above sea level) to have a look at the sceneries of whole langkawi. it was windy and pretty cold, but a little bit humid.well, we don get to see the view as it was too misty. we didn't go to the babylon-like suspension bridge... hm.. totally forgot about it... then we just jump in the cable car and headed down back to the station... it started to drizzle again on the way... haha... but was happy that we got to go on the ride up to 700m above sea level.

it was raining cats and dogs... well, maybe raining kittens and puppies... haha.. cos it was not exactly really heavy... it was raining when we reach down and was finding ways on how to run to the car which is like 50 metres away or maybe more..... as i only have one little umbrella, i as the driver, hehe.. me n hu nee walked to the car then hu nee went back to get leng boi, then leng boi went to get ah goh and su en. Everyone was pretty tired already by then.. woke up early mah... hu nee's voice was starting to get really husky... she got headache.. the poor girl was sick.. hehe...

then we drove all the way to the black sand beach, stopped for a while, got ourselves 2 coconuts, really big ones, then we continue journey and head Tanjung Rhu. There's this beautiful Four Seasons Hotel in Tanjung Rhu. Should be new... anyway, at the beach, took photos, as usual... run around until it started to drizzle again, so we decided to leave and drove back to Kuah town to the duty free shops.... wanna get some chocolates! then head off for dinner at this place near Bella Vista. we had kailan i think... haha... forgot what vege we has adi.. then seafood tom yam, sweet sour chicken, gung po mantis prawns (heh ko bak), deep-fry squid and a 3 flavoured black pomphret(i wonder if i spelled it wrong.. hahaha). the food, rating... 3 out of 10.... but haha.. we finished everything cos we were too hungry... the price rating.. haha.. 9 out of 10. all these cost us only RM 55 (i think.. or 50 something..) haha.. y is that so.. cos we ordered the fish last minute, the forgot to add the fish in the bill! cos at fist we all guessed that it would be around RM90 the least... full and happy, we canceled our trip to Dataran lang cos too tired, drove back to the hotel. i drove whole day adi... it's like a driving marathon! never drove so long in my life.. haha...i think i might have reach Singapore adi if i'm driving in mainland! Oh ya, we stayed in Aseania Hotel, located in Pantai Tengah (Between Pantai cenang & Pantai Kok) RM 130 for a 2 double bed room and breakfast for 4. additional breakfast was RM18. hotel is okay, but not well maintained, so it looked old... breakfast sucks... haha.... no variety.. limited choice... no wonder it's complimentary..if have to pay 18 bucks each for the breakfast, i think i'll pass! whole night we spend talking while the sick hu nee slept..... then slept around 2 i think...

30th October 2005 (SUNDAY)
woke up 7 somehting the next day... head down for breakfast, then went to the beach for a walk... then we headed Awana Porto Malai for photo taking then balik hotel, bathe and prepare for check out. poor ah goh, bathe till half with her hair with shampoo, no water supply... haha... have to wait for like 30 minutes before she get to continue her bath. checked out at around 12, head back to Kuah town, stopped by Teow Soon Huat for some shopping, chocolates, snacks and hehe.. liquor... the lady in the shop offer us a ticket in which the ticket is a day before our arrival cos in order to get the liquor pass the custom without getting taxed, we have to stay in langkawi at the least 2 nights, 48 hours for a litre of liquor/6 cans of beer and a box of ciggies. so we change the ticket with RM 4 for each ticket+ our original arrival tickets (so she can sell to her other customers that arrive today or so..). i got a bottle of Black Label, Goh got a bottle of JD, Leng Boi a bottle of DOM, Hu Nee 1 dozen of beers.

Head over to Langkawi Shopping Fair, Langkawi biggest shopping mall (which is not big afterall.. hehe)for lunch, jalan jalan a lil then rush to jetty. couldn't make it for the 3:30 pm ferry cos we got on to the next one which is at 4:30pm instead. went to a nasi kandar restaurant for a drink before we checked in the custom and board the ferry. everyone was drop dead tired, every one went to sleep once seated in the ferry. the air-cond was super cold, enough to keep fishes/seafood fresh. it's like sitting in a referigerator! but heck, too tired, so i went to have a nap as well. woke up at 5:30pm, really cold, can mati, really... ah goh, su en n leng boi was playing with their camera, snapping photos. reached kuala kedah around 6:00pm, went to answer nature's call again, paid our parking fee and drove home....

dropped everyone home, drove home, rest a while, pack my stuffs, bathe my jacky boy, bathe then off to fetch goh at may's house... haha.. she got lost finding my place... so i asked to to wait me at may's place instead. then drove back to pg, unpacked my things and go to sleep.... tired!! days are back to normal.. worked the next day, cuti yesterday for deepavali.. i went out with my college mates for dinner over Dome chit chatting, cathing up on things, then today have to work again... haha.. i'm at work right now, but i'm such a teruk person, i blog instead.. hahaha... my bosses all not in office.. kekeke... tomorrow cuti raya until next sunday.. so syok.. get to rest.... but sigh... when monday comes, have to work again and well, another routined life for me.. :( Anyhow, i enjoyed this trip, although not everyone was there... bet it would be full of fun if all of us is there jumping around like small kids... haha
